New HMI for low-cost applications
Jetter AG is expanding its display range with a compact and powerful colour display, the JetView 1004, an HMI that it describes as both cost effective and technically sophisticated. Aside from its excellent performance, the device's appeal lies in its 4.3 inch colour TFT display with LED technology. The resistive touchscreen boasts a resolution of 480 × 272 pixels and 64,000 colours.
The aluminium housing measures 147mm wide, 107mm high and 52mm deep. The HMI can be used at operating temperatures of 0-50degC. It is also equipped with a dimmer function, which facilitates its use at twilight and in darkness. For connection to networks and JetControl controllers, the user has the option of two Ethernet interfaces with integrated 100MB switch and a gateway function. A USB port and a serial interface are provided to connect further peripherals and the device also features a slot for an SD card.
A SCADA development tool, JetViewSoft, is used to create the operating masks for the JetView 1004. All important functions such as alarm handling, trending, libraries etc. are available to the user for the creation of sophisticated visualisations. Many more functions can be executed too, thanks to the use of the versatile programming language JetSym STX as a script language. The JetView 1004 is designed for cost-sensitive machines and systems throughout the entire field of factory and process automation.
