Kimberly-Clark Professional has put in place a highly professional new marketing team to help make sure it is providing the right level of support and services for its distributors and end users in the UK and Ireland.
Michel Le Borgne has been appointed as Marketing Manager with Marta Longhurst as Associate Marketing Manager and Samantha Stagg as Marketing Assistant. University students Craig Bowman and James Crorie are supporting the team as part of their work placement year.
Michel Le Borgne says: "We will work with Kimberly-Clark Professional workplace and washroom customers to make sure we are serving them as well as we possibly can. We will be the voice of the customer within Kimberly-Clark Professional, making sure we have the right solutions for every one of our end users, and at the same time ensuring our customers are being made aware of the benefits of our health and safety and hygiene ranges."
Le Borgne joined Kimberly-Clark Professional in early 2005 as Product Manager for WYPALL X Cloths and Speciality Wipers. He took responsibility for the overall management of the European Speciality Wiper category in early 2007 and was presented with a Key Contributor of the Year Award in 2007 for the launch of the Kimberly-Clark Professional pre-paint bundle to automotive customers.
Looking forward to the challenges of a busy 2009, Le Borgne says: "We will be launching a large number of new products, some of them new to the market, a new European segment and also run a large number of campaigns with our channel partners. You can also expect to see the Marketing Team being more present in the field as I do believe that the key to good marketing is to know our customers well. There is no better way to do that than to meet them in their environment to understand their needs and requirements."
Le Borgne will be backed by Marta Longhurst, the new Associate Marketing Manager who has come to the role after nearly two years at Kimberly-Clark Professional, most recently as Associate Marketing Manager Europe. Le Borgne says: "Marta has got a great background for this role. She has worked in B2B marketing and the financial services sector. She started at Kimberly-Clark Professional with the European Marketing team where she was involved in the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns in the Clean Manufacturing segment and Industrial Channels."
Longhurst is keen to develop her understanding of the Kimberly-Clark Professional customer base in the UK. She says: "I am excited at this opportunity to work with a new team on developing the right marketing tools to help sellers out in the field. We have got targets to meet and I am determined to help make sure we meet the challenge."
Samantha Stagg, the new Marketing Assistant, is the third member of the team. Le Borgne says: "It is Sam's first role in Kimberly-Clark Professional. She came to us with plenty of enthusiasm and the ideal qualifications, including a degree in Business Administration from the University of Greenwich."
Stagg adds: "I believe our role as the voice of the customer in Kimberly-Clark Professional is vital. It is a highly challenging role, but I believe that we can make Kimberly-Clark Professional the supplier of choice for all customers, choosers and users."
Stagg will manage the local advertising and promotion budget and execute promotional plans to support the Washroom Channel, Cleaning & Hygiene, HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering), OPS (Office Product Supplies), Healthcare, and Contract Cleaning. She will also support the preparation of the Kimberly-Clark Professional 2009 Golden Service Awards, which are described as the most prestigious awards in the cleaning sector.
