New model of Sinamics S120 converter is water-cooled
Siemens Drives Technologies is presenting the water-cooled version of the Sinamics S120 converter for use in dusty, salt-laden or aggressive atmospheres and for outputs from 18.5-90kW and motor currents from 38-178A at the SPS/IPC/Drives Fair 2008. Siemens is therefore extending its family of drives with a converter of blocksize format in the lower output range.
This converter is very compact on account of its efficient heat dissipation. The new converters supplement the current range of liquid-cooled chassis devices with outputs from 110 to 120kW.
