New products and a design guide from Wurth Electronics
Wurth Electronics, a manufacturer of passive and electro-mechanical components, is exhibiting on Stand G49 at Southern Electronics 2007.
The product range contains: Ferrites for cable assembly; SMD ferrites; D-Sub-Filter connectors; and EMC shielding material. For inductors, Wurth offers filter and RF chokes, power chokes and common-mode chokes. In the field of RF components, Wurth has RF inductors and LTCC components. Furthermore, Wurth offers transformers for Ethernet applications and flexible transformers.
Wurth Electronics says that it differs in several aspects from all other component manufacturers: Wurth delivers all catalogue products ex-stock and the company's technical sales force can support designs with extensive market experience. Samples are supplied free of charge, usually in 48 hours.
One of the latest products is a mains input transformer that is designed for use with Tiny-Switch ICs. Furthermore, Wurth also offers Current Sense Transformers that are able to transform currents of up to 10A into measurable currents.
In addition to those components, Wurth also offers a new Power-over-Ethernet Transformer; the EP13 transformers have smaller dimension than the EFD15 models.
In April 2007 a new design guide will be published. The Abc of transformers is a practical guide for selecting suitable transformers for the respective application.
