New protective cover for Han HPR industrial connectors
Harting is launching a protective cover for size 3 A bulkhead and surface mounting housings in its Han HPR series of industrial connector housings. This protects the contact inserts from environmental influences when not in use: in particular, it provides protection from effects that can cause outages in outdoor applications in the industrial and rail sectors. This is a particularly significant challenge for interfaces that are not always in use, such as service interfaces.
Each Han 3 HPR protective cover is fitted with a screw locking system as used for the hoods, and is sealed to IP68 in the locked position. It is optionally available with a stainless steel lanyard to ensure that the cover is not lost.
The primary application of the Han HPR series is in the areas of electrical interfaces in vehicles, applications with increased climatic demands, wet areas and sensitive interfaces that need to be protected or shielded.
