New range of compact, precision oil-filled worm gear reducers
Ondrives is introducing the OFG40 precision oil-filled worm gear reducers with shaft input torque ratings from 5-18Nm in ratios varying from 5:1 up to 120:1 as standard. Special ratios are available on request. A separate breather is supplied loose with each gearbox to be installed by the end user, typically on top of the gearbox. Optional breather configurations are available on request.
The units measure just 129mm from shaft to shaft and are therefore viable for small machines and confined spaces. Other advantages include high duty cycles compared to grease-filled gearboxes and a higher specification on the sealing of the unit. The hard anodised aluminium casing is naturally corrosion resistant.
Ondrives supplies the gearboxes as standard with a hardened worm and therefore lower backlash. A reduced backlash version is available with ultra-precise matched worm wheel sets.
