Allen-Bradley says that the new switch increases door stability and reduces misalignment and nuisance tripping. It has a high holding force and misalignment tolerance, and is intended for use on all types of guard doors.

The 440G-EZ has a low-profile housing design with multiple mounting and connection options, including 5-pin or 8-pin M12 micro quick disconnect pigtails for installation flexibility. To simplify installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, the switch offers onboard LED diagnostics, indicating switch status when the state of the output signal-switching devices are locked or unlocked. The 440G-EZ safety switches are TÜV-certified up to Cat 4, SIL 3, PLe, the highest level of safety for guard position.
