New strain gauge catalogue includes selection flow chart

HBM's new catalogue Strain Gages and Accessories is now available in both English and German. The catalogue runs to almost 100 pages and features HBM's extensive range of strain gauges and their specifications.

New strain gauge catalogue includes selection flow chart

A flow chart is included to help customers select the best strain gauge for any application easily and quickly. In addition, the catalogue contains useful hints on how to use strain gauges correctly.

As well as detailed information about strain gauges, the catalogue provides details about accessories such as adhesives, bonding material, cleaning and covering agents.

Optical strain gauges based on fibre Bragg gratings are among the many features of the new catalogue. These can be used for applications in potentially explosive atmospheres because their operation is based on light rather than electrical signals; electromagnetic interference does not impact on their operation either. Optical strain gauges are particularly suited to applications with very high strains and high numbers of load cycles.

The new strain gauge catalogue can be ordered from HBM and is also available for download.
