New versatile I/O module for UniStream all-in-one PLC+HMI
Unitronics is launching the versatile UIS-WCB1 I/O module that offers a variety of I/O options in a single unit. The UIS-WCB1 is compatible with all UniStream series programmable logic controllers; it can either be snapped to the back of a UniStream HMI panel or installed on DIN rail using a local expansion adapter. The UIS-WCB1 has the following inpouts and outputs:
- 10 digital inputs
- 2 analogue inputs
- 2 thermocouple inputs
- 8 relay outputs
- 2 transistor outputs
- 2 analogue outputs
The UniStream line is the result of over 20 years of experience with PLC development, combined with the strongest new trends in automation. Each Unistream controller incorporates a powerful dual CPU, sleek HMI touch panel and a variety of I/O options. Users can create an all-in-one controller by snapping on a CPU and I/O modules to the HMI of their choice. Unitronics says that the award-winning UniStream gives OEMs and systems integrators a competitive edge, enabling them to customise their PLC, cut costs and shorten programming time by over 50 per cent.
UniStream offers options for RS485, CANopen, UniCAN, and both serial and Ethernet MODBUS communications. In addition, Unistream supports Ethernet/IP and can be adapted to other third-party protocols; the USB and serial ports support external devices such as modems, printers and barcode readers.
UniLogic, the software for Unitronics UniStream line, enables users to code Ladder logic, design HMI screens and web pages, configure hardware, set up and implement communications, and far more - all in a single programming environment. According to Unitronics, UniLogic's efficient features can slash development time by over 50 per cent.
