Patch panel is based on Ha-VIS preLink cabling system

Harting has developed a patch panel based on its Ha-VIS preLink cabling system for use in the structured cabling of industrial and special buildings. The new Ha-VIS preLink HIFF (Harting Industry Form Factor) patch panel is suitable for installation in 19-inch cabinets or frames in accordance with IEC/DIN EN 60297-3-100 (DIN 41494-1). Up to 24 individual modules in HIFF design, Ha-VIS preLink RJ45 socket modules or RJ Industrial 10G couplers can be mixed and loaded into the patch panel. Users benefit from the flexibility that enables them to decide for themselves whether they want to work with pre-terminated cables or patch cables.

This cabling system component again focuses on simple, time-saving and economical installation. This is possible thanks to the patch panel's three-part design and cable jack support that can be removed from both the front and the back when the base support is installed.

A high-grade stainless steel plate covers the patch panel on the front and lies flush with the 19-inch mounting frame. The future viability of the patch panel is ensured by the module's ability to transmit data at up to 10Gbit/s. The combination of extra strain relief, high-integrity shielding and robust metallic design are further safety measures that make the patch panel suitable for use in industrial applications.
