Phoenix Contact expands its range for Profinet

PCB terminal blocks scaled up

Phoenix Contact is extending its portfolio with PCB terminal blocks for Profinet-compliant data transmission.

Each of the 4-position PCB terminal blocks have been designed specially for the connection of twisted pair cables with cross-sections of 0.14 mm² to 4 mm². The conductors are connected via spring- or screw connection technology.

Printed or colour-coded connection points are said to allow easy assignment of the conductors. With horizontal, vertical and angled conductor connection directions, the PCB terminal blocks are suitable for a variety of device designs.

“All versions satisfy the requirements of the Profinet directive, Rev. 05/2017,” adds Phoenix Contact, “and are therefore suitable for secure CAT5 data transmission, in accordance with EN 50173 and ISO/IEC 11801.”

Some versions are also certified for use in potentially explosive areas, in accordance with IEC 60079-7.
