Positioning hinges hold panels open at preset angles

Pinet is introducing the Hi-Klik Indent hinge for positioning doors or access panels at any angle from 180degrees in one direction to 90degrees in the other direction. The retaining torque is factory set and cannot be tampered with by users. Two versions are available, with detent torques of 1.8 or 2.5Nm.

Measuring just 67mm wide by 27.5mm from hinge centreline to wingtips, the hinges are compact and easy to install using M6 or similarly sized fixings. While the wings are manufactured from black anodised aluminium, the positioning mechanism uses sintered steel and the screw and nut are both stainless steel. Units have been tested to over 30,000 cycles, with only 20 per cent torque loss over this lifetime. Recommended operating temperatures are from -30 to +70degC.

In addition to the standard hinges, Pinet also offers customised versions if, for example, customers require alternative holding torques or improved corrosion resistance.
