Positioning set provides simple manual adjustment
A new Positioning Set 4 40 in the Item range makes it simple for machine builders to provide manual screw adjustment. An optional mechanical or digital electronic indicator provides feedback to enable machines to be set repeatably.
Basic components in the positioning set include the feedscrew, handwheel, bearing block and a bracket that mounts on the end of a Line 8 profile. While the optional mechanical indicator has a resolution of 0.1mm, the electronic indicator has an accuracy of 0.01mm (and can be calibrated by the user).
A further option is to use a double-ended (contradirectional) feedscrew so that turning the handle moves a pair of bearing blocks together or apart.
