Powerstax has recruited a new Design Engineer, Harit Pokharel, at their research and development and manufacturing facility in Wickford, Essex, where he will work on switched mode and transformer rectifier products. Harit recently completed his Masters in Electrical Power Engineering from University of Greenwich with Distinction.
Harit comments: "I really appreciated the warm welcome I received from everyone at Powerstax. I am proud to be starting my career at a company where I can be involved in the complete design cycle from concept through design, manufacture and test."
Harit has special interest in renewable energy and heat dissipation management. He continues: "If we can reduce the heat dissipation from power units further through better design then higher efficiency products result which is vital for the future."
In his spare time he practises photography, loves swimming, camping and trekking. Having attended the highly regarded Budhanilkantha School in Nepal, where English has been the official language of instruction since 1983, he has recently been chosen as President of SEBS-UK (Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students), a volunteer organisation supporting school alumni living within the UK and Europe, for the next 2 years.
Chief Executive Officer of Powerstax Tim Worley says: "We are very pleased to welcome Harit to our design team. We are continually investing in our capabilities in order to offer our existing customers the best possible service while developing new power conversion solutions and expanding our product range."
Powerstax designs and manufactures an extensive range of standard, value-added and custom AC and DC power products for a broad range of fixed and mobile applications including hot-swap front-end AC-DC bulk power, DC-DC converter bricks and modules and programmable, modular, rack-mounted power supplies.
