Precise, versatile, reliable: elobau's new ultrasonic sensors

The contactless operating principle ensures accurate and reliable detection of liquid, solid, granular or powdery substances, even under extreme environmental conditions. The robustly designed cylindrical sensors are available in three designs, in plastic or stainless steel, and with a compact short or long body in M18 or M30 housings, to ensure that there is a sensor to fit most applications and machine environments.

These sensors offer a range of output options and operating modes that can be easily programmed via either a programming cable or a teach-in button. Additionally, the sensors are IO-Link compatible and therefore Industry 4.0 ready. They also have options for synchronisation and multiplex operation, which avoids 'crosstalk' and ensures trouble-free operation even in tight operating spaces.

elobau's compact U*18S ultrasonic sensor is suitable for difficult application conditions. This space-saving version offers flexibility for switching and measuring applications, and a measuring range of up to 1.2 metres. In addition, this series can either be used as a diffuse reflection sensor or as a retro-reflective sensor. The U*18 sensor has the features of the compact version and can be configured via a teach-in button or IO-link. With an operating range of up to 2.2m, four operating modes and various output forms, this sensor offers maximum functionality.

The U*30 version is suitable for wide-range detection of objects and filling heights of distances of up to 8m. Available in stainless steel and plastic, and temperature compensated to ensure accuracy even in cases of temperature fluctuations, this versatile sensor can be used for a wide range of industrial and mobile applications.

elobau's UDA18 ATEX ultrasonic sensors have the same functionality as the U*18 series but have been developed for use in potentially gas or dust explosive areas. Their ATEX approval makes them suitable for use in chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as oil and gas processing industries.

The 2UF ultrasonic sensor has been developed to reliably detect the fill level on mobile machinery. The use of an optional focus tube ensures the precise measurement of media while agitated or on an incline.
