Torque overload is often unpredictable, and if not accounted for in machinery design, can result in significant damage to the equipment leading to prolonged and costly downtime. SAFEMAX torque limiters are designed to prevent such issues by instantly disengaging the motor side from the driven side during a torque overload.

This immediate response eliminates the risk of expensive downtime. Additionally, these torque limiters, being torsionally rigid and backlash-free, enable the rapid and accurate resumption of machine operations once the cause of the overload has been addressed.
Features include: backlash-free torque transmission; low moment of inertia; compact design; maintenance-free; disengagement within 1 to 3 milliseconds; easy and safe adjustment of the torque; and re-engagement to 360 degrees or in phase.
These torque limiters are equipped with regressive springs, ensuring immediate disengagement within milliseconds during an overload. Once the overload condition has subsided, the torque limiter re-engages automatically, either at 360 degrees or in optional preset phases, thereby safeguarding the machine and maintaining operational continuity.
