Printronix Auto ID recently appointed Neil Baker as sales manager for the UK, Ireland, Benelux and South African regions. He will focus on strengthening partner relationships and expanding sales of the company's reliable and robust thermal and RFID devices and validation products. Neil's extensive knowledge of labelling, printing, Auto ID and packaging, combined with his international experience of both reseller and direct B2B sales, make him well suited for this important role.
Neil joins Printronix Auto ID at an exciting stage of the company's development. Having been acquired by TSC in early 2016, the business has had a busy year, launching a new mid-range thermal barcode printer, T6000, to great acclaim at the PPMA Show in September.
Amine Soubai, Director, Printronix Auto ID EMEA says: "Our thermal printers are performing mission critical roles in many sectors including manufacturing, retail, transport and logistics. We're keen to communicate their capabilities to a wider customer base.
"Neil has the perfect skills for the role; considerable sector experience, highly accomplished in setting and achieving P&L targets, and a demonstrable record of driving and managing sustainable relationships with both customers and suppliers."
Prior to joining Printronix Auto ID, Neil was sales manager for the specialities division of Lecta, a European manufacturer of paper for labels, packaging and printing. His remit was to develop new markets for recently introduced self-adhesive pressure sensitive materials and enhance the potential for more of the company's non-core PE/PP/filmic products. In his first year alone, he exceeded budget by 33 per cent and doubled the customer base. Prior to Lecta, Neil worked for Lamican Packaging Products (a division of Asia Pulp and Paper), and Reflex Labels.
Neil Baker says: "I've worked in the printing, labeling and consumables sector for over 20 years so have first-hand experience of the revolution that's going on in not just materials but also products and processes in front and back offices all over the world. I'm very excited to be joining Printronix Auto ID, and expanding its global position as a leading provider of thermal print technology and validation solutions. It's a business that is setting new standards in logistics, trading and industrial production."
