Pryor demonstrate laser marking at Southern Manufacturing show

Pryor will showcase its marking technologies and traceability offerings when it returns to Southern Manufacturing and Electronics in February. Southern Manufacturing and Electronics marks the first exhibition for the company in 2020. The theme for this year's exhibition is laser marking, so Pryor will have a range of products on display for visitors to determine the best one for their application and requirements.

Pryor will be demonstrating its "on-the-fly' high-speed laser marking product which enables permanent laser marking of metal components on a high-speed conveyor in as little as 0.5s. Camera verification ensures the laser mark meets industrial standards. Mark quality is identical to a stationary mark, thanks to software that automatically adjusts the marking position.

Portability is a key factor for a lot of businesses, particularly in the aerospace and automotive sector as they often have large heavy items that require marking. Pryor's portable laser is mobile and allows easy marking of large, immobile and heavy items, and can mark onto a wide range of materials.

As the fastest and most versatile marking system, the Bench Laser is suitable for high-volume and high-variety output. Designed with the user in mind and with a unique pilot beam, the user is able to see exactly where the machine is set to mark, enabling fast and accurate setup.

Also on display will be and range of portable and benchtop Dot Peen marking machines: PortaDot P50-25, PortaDot P130-30 E, BenchDot EZA and MarkMate.

Pryor will have a team of experts on hand to answer any questions from visitors as well as to discuss marking products for ultimate component traceability, control and data capture.

2019 saw the creation of a new, Automation Division based at the Sheffield headquarters, to seize the opportunity presented by Pryor's reputation as a leading supplier of integrated, turnkey projects using robotics, vision systems and automation. These have become core product offerings for the Division, serving an impressive range of well-known global brands.

Andy Hales, head of sales for Pryor's new Automation Division, comments: "As the only company designing, manufacturing and installing this equipment in the UK, our team can provide expert advice on marking best-practice. We're looking forward to showing our capability with our on-stand demonstrations of our key products for identification and traceability."

Southern Manufacturing and Electronics takes place on 11-13 February 2020 at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference centre. For more information, visit Pryor on Stand D170 at Southern Manufacturing or go to www.pryormarking.com.
