Pryor to champion traceability at Automechanika 2017

Visitors to the Pryor stand will see the company's fully automated systems for VIN marking on chassis, engines and gearboxes using laser, dot peen and scribe engraving.

Visitors will also get to experience the marking process first hand. Pryor will have its robot demonstrator on-stand, showcasing automatic marking on an engine. This features a high-definition vision system to identify a feature on the engine and automatically place the mark in the correct location, as well as carrying out a 100 per cent check of mark quality, with all data being recorded and stored for full traceability.

In addition, Pryor will be presenting its laser marking capabilities. These include high-speed, on-the-fly laser marking of metal and plastic components, providing unique part traceability in under 0.5s and deep laser engraving for high-speed and high-quality engraved marks.

Systems on show will feature Pryor's new embedded control system, the 4000 Controller. This latest generation control system, which features a 10.4" industrial grade touchscreen, is one of the most robust, reliable and user friendly models on the market and is well suited for error-free marking in the automotive sector.

Pryor's team of experts will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions visitors may have on traceability in the automotive sector. They'll also be available to discuss the company's identification and traceability solutions and how they can ensure ultimate component traceability, process control and data capture.
