Reference force transducers with range up to 5MN

HBM is now offering C18 reference force transducers with a nominal range of up to 5MN. These transducers comply with equipment class 0.5 as defined by the international standard DIN EN ISO 376, which specifies the calibration of force-proving instruments used with uniaxial stress. An alternative version of the C18 reference force transducer is available that complies with the maximum equipment class 00.

To simplify mounting, the C18 is supplied complete with a mounting base and a thrust piece as force application parts. This is said to make safe, reliable calibration easier.

Typical users of reference force transducers include metrology institutes, companies providing force transducer calibration services, and establishments with large numbers of force transducers needing regular calibration.
