NI and its partners will demonstrate how vision and automation applications can be optimised by harnessing the measurement, analysis, connectivity and advanced control features of programmable automation controllers (PACs) to:

  • Improve yields and quality
  • Enhance throughput and efficiency
  • Improve equipment uptime and availability

The event will start with a keynote session on Graphical system design for industrial automation and machine vision. This will explain how graphical system design combines high-level graphical programming and integrated off-the-shelf hardware to enable engineers to design, prototype and deploy sophisticated industrial automation and machine vision applications. Using this new platform-based approach to designing automation systems can simplify the integration of vision with advanced control, logic and motion.

Two tracks will run for the rest of the day, one focusing on vision and the other on automation. Sessions will be presented by NI and its partners, including Alrad, FirstSight Vision and Flir Systems. Descriptions of the sessions are available on the website.
