Retaining ring and wave spring performance in aerospace applications

Rotor Clip has released a new 3D aerospace application video that highlights how its AS9100- certified retaining rings, snap rings, spiral rings and wave springs are used throughout aircraft systems.

Retaining ring and wave spring performance in aerospace applications

These parts are engineered to withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures, rapid rotation, and continuous vibration, helping to ensure safe and reliable operation from takeoff to landing.

With thousands of fasteners and springs used throughout an aircraft, this video highlights just a few examples of where Rotor Clip retaining rings and wave springs are commonly used, including:

- Constant Section Rings (Snap Rings) within the jet engine

- Spiral rings on the wing landing gear

- E-rings, snap rings and wave springs within the cabin (seatbelts, luggage doors, entry

systems)

- Multi-turn wave springs in fuel delivery systems

"You'll likely never see our parts on an aircraft, but they're constantly working behind the scenes," said Craig Slass, Co-President of Rotor Clip. "We design them to handle the temperatures, speed and vibration that comes with flight. Our engineers understand the unique challenges of this industry and work directly with aerospace teams to ensure these parts perform exactly as expected."

Rotor Clip continues to invest in engineering, technology, and manufacturing capabilities to meet the demanding needs of the aerospace and defence industry. The company works closely with engineers to develop solutions for even the most challenging aerospace requirements, and when existing parts are not sufficient, it creates custom, application driven solutions to meet mission- critical needs.
