Round rod systems for multi-point closure, improved door sealing
EMKA is promoting its round rod systems for multi-point closure and improved door sealing. The needs of the specialist panel building industry have been met by EMKA for many years, and in the centre of that is a comprehensive round rod system for multi-point cabinet door closure.
Generally used on larger cabinets for electrical or electronic equipment, round rods are installed with quarter-turn locks, e.g. T or L handles, or with swinghandles or lift handles. In this situation, rod systems with suitable guides for support are used to enable 2-point, 3, 4 or even 5-point door closure. Larger doors or enhanced sealing of course call for more even gasket compression with more secure points of action.
EMKA round rods are available with double roller or cone ends in zinc mild steel and in AISI 304 stainless steel. They are available ex-stock in lengths of 400mm to 1200mm which suit wall-mounted enclosures up to free-standing suites of cabinets.
