The shortlist for the Technology Innovation Hardware Award category was announced at the end of July, with a shortlist of 10 finalists, including RPS and its newest channel partner HP for its Multi Jet Fusion Technology.

Over four years in development and the only stereolithography (SL) hardware designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK, the NEO800 is said by RPS to driving positive change in the 3D printing market. Key features are:

  • Best-in-class performance with exceptional part sidewall quality and a scanning resolution to within 1 micron; finishing time is reduced by up to 50 per cent
  • NEO800 open resin system is compatible with all 355nm SL resins, allowing freedom of material selection for customised builds
  • A print area of 800 x 800 x 600 that is 30 per cent larger than competitive systems with similar footprints
  • Designed for production, the NEO800 is optimized to run 24/7/365 with minimum intervention to maximise uptime
  • A high-power 2W laser is capable of processing advanced composite materials
  • On-board UPS system ensures critical uptime during powder disturbances
  • Intuitive Titanium software is easy to use, logical and designed in collaboration with experienced SLA users

TCT has always existed at the intersection of technology and applications, and the TCT Awards will maintain this approach. Celebrating the innovators, technology and collaborators behind the best examples of 3D technology use across the globe.

Each of the submissions shortlisted will now be sent in full to a selection of the TCT Expert Advisory Board. The board comprises experts from across many disciplines, and judging will be split between those who are best placed to judge each particular category.

Winners of all the award categories will be announced on the night of 27 September 2017 at the inaugural TCT Awards, Birmingham Town Hall, UK.
