Rugged IP67/IP69K interconnects resist vibration
APD series transportation connectors from ITT Interconnect Solutions are specifically designed to overcome the harsh environments commonly found in heavy transportation applications. Sealed to IP67/IP69K (with individual wire sealing) and vibration resistant, ITT ICS's APD transportation interconnects include a wide range of one- and two-way high-power and four-way high-voltage interconnects up to 51-way interface connectors, plus special sensors and PCB-type versions. A broad variety of layouts extends the range of possible end applications. Electrical specifications cover requirements up to 48V DC and up to 240A. APD transportation connectors also provide a flexible platform for customised products.
Manufactured from materials that are resistant to diesel, oil and brake fluids commonly found in heavy vehicles and agricultural equipment, APD connectors feature a proven bayonet locking system to cope with high vibration encountered in such applications. For ultra-heavy-duty usage, the APD 19/51-way additionally offers a secondary locking feature for easy contact installation and guaranteed contact alignment. All APD connectors are colour-coded and have mechanical keying for ease of use.
