Safety is number one at Offshore Europe
As the eyes of the oil and gas industry turn to SPE Offshore Europe, 3-6 September 2013, with its theme of "The Next 50 Years', the safety of workers, assets and the environment will lead the agenda. Amid changing industrial compliance standards and governance, the industry faces many challenges concerning ageing and life extension (ALE) of safety equipment. Rockwell Automation is showcasing the products available and well-defined migration paths for legacy equipment that show a progressive approach to safety that can also lead to improved efficiency and reduced downtime.

Building on 40 years' experience in oil and gas safety systems the offering covers applications as diverse as Subsea, ESD, F&G, Turbine and Compressor Control, Blow Out Preventers, HIPPS, Combustion Control and CPC products that help protect people, assets and the environment. With SIL 1 and 2 TUV certified ControlLogix and SIL 1-3 TUV certified Trusted and AADvance safety and critical control systems seamlessly integrating into PlantPAx, safety can remain the top priority while productivity can be improved and total cost of ownership, engineering and lifecycle costs can be reduced.
Also available through stand 1C52 will be the free process safety handbook Process Safebook 1, a resource for process system design and development engineers.
