Safety relay monitors safety switches, mats, edges and bumpers
Tapeswitch Corporation is launching the PSSR-2 safety interface controller for monitoring the integrity of any safety switch, mat, edge and bumper systems product with an end-of-the-line resistor at a CAT3, PLd, SIL2 safety level performance.
The compact (22.5mm wide) PSSR-2 safety interface controller is CE-marked and features IP20 protection, DIN rail mounting and three output contacts: two-normally open (safety) contacts and one normally-closed (monitoring) contact. It can be configured for manual or automatic reset.
Tapeswitch says the PSSR-2 and compatible safety products can be used in any industry, including automation, packaging, manufacturing and everyday safety applications where a safety controller and a pressure-sensitive product is required. The new controller is said to allow for less wiring, easier installation with the same safety level performance and fail-safe features of four-wire products with end-of-the-line resistance monitoring.
