Savigny Oddie shows Thread Detective and other fasteners
At the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition on 23 October 2008 Savigny Oddie's stand was busy with visitors interested in the Thread Detective (pictured), as well as the company's ranges of locks, toggle latches (over-centre latches), hinges, handles, quarter-turn fasteners and other products. These include sealing gaskets, lid stays, the Swell Action Latch and push-pull fasteners.
The Thread Detective is an easy-to-use thread identifier that consists of a wire lanyard with a series of male and female thread checkers. Combo Thread Detectives have both metric and UNC/UNF imperial sizes, from M4 to M12 and similar imperial sizes.
Most of the company's other products are available in both plated steel and stainless steel, and custom designs can be manufactured to order. For less demanding applications, Savigny Oddie supplies plastic hinges with either through holes or insert moulded studs (M5, M6 or M8).
