Schaeffler publishes new linear actuator catalogue
Schaeffler is publishing a new 900-page catalogue on its complete range of linear actuators, linear tables and accessories. Schaeffler's complete linear actuator offering is one of the most comprehensive in the world, available from a single source. The new AL1 "Driven Linear Units' catalogue (which replaces the previous ALE publication) includes technical information on the complete linear actuator range from Schaeffler, including tandem (heavy duty) actuators, clamping actuators, compact (miniature) actuators and telescopic actuators, as well as linear tables, drives and controls, and linear accessories.
Rapid progress in the automation of production and assembly processes has accelerated the development of complete driven linear systems. These systems typically comprise a high-precision guidance system, a rigid support rail, a wear-free drive unit with servomotor, and a user-friendly controller.
Schaeffler linear, tandem and clamping actuators are integrated, modular systems that contain all the components required for operation. The actuators are guided by KUVE or KUSE series linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies, or by a track roller guidance system (LF). The actuator is driven by a ballscrew drive (KGT) or by one or three toothed belts (ZR).
Linear tables are primarily used for short stroke-length applications. For light to moderate loads, linear tables with a shaft guidance system are fitted with linear ball bearings KB or KBO. These linear tables are available without drive, with a trapezoidal screw drive or with a ballscrew drive. High-precision linear tables with high load-carrying capacity are fitted with linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies and a ballscrew drive.
The new catalogue includes information on a wide range of linear actuator accessories such as fasteners and connecting/mounting brackets. These components are used to connect the linear unit to the adjacent construction or, in the case of multi-axis positioning systems, to connect linear units to each other.
Other accessories include couplings, coupling housings, belt drives, electric motors, gearbox/motor units and controls.
