See energy-efficient air compressors at The Energy Event 2011
At this year's Energy Event at the NEC in Birmingham, Atlas Copco Compressors will be exhibiting its energy-efficient air compressors and blowers and explaining the performance gains and energy savings available when using fully integrated VSD (variable-speed drive) technology. The company will also highlight its recently-launched zero per cent finance initiative that is designed to encourage investment in the latest energy-efficient compressed air technologies.
Following two decades of research and development work, Atlas Copco describes itself as an industry authority on the benefits of using fully integrated VSD systems versus retrofit options. Visitors to the company's stand can find out why a fully integrated VSD system provides optimum performance in terms of output and energy efficiency for rotary screw compressors and their ancillaries, when air demand is variable throughout the production process.
Also on the stand, representatives from Atlas Copco will be available to talk about the company's new finance scheme. Designed to encourage investment in energy-efficient compressed air technologies, Atlas Copco has launched its own zero per cent APR finance scheme for Atlas Copco equipment, providing a straightforward and affordable alternative to other financing options. Atlas Copco's flexible scheme has no qualifying carbon assessment criteria, is available to everyone and not just SMEs, and offers loans from 1000 upwards that can be taken out over a period of up to seven years.
Many ways to save
Atlas Copco's latest energy-efficient technology, including the ZS+ oil-free rotary screw blower, which is proven to offer up to 30 per cent energy efficiency, will also be highlighted at The Energy Event, as will AIRnet, the compressed air piping system that minimises pressure drop, energy use and installation time. Additionally, the company will show its retrofit energy recovery kits available for its GA11-90 rotary screw compressors, which can achieve up to 94 per cent energy recovery in the form of hot outlet water at temperatures of up to 90degC.
Other attractions include Atlas Copco's free Health Check service, AIRScan (a highly accurate airnet survey report system designed to pinpoint any energy drains) and AIRConnect (an automated, 24/7, internet-based remote monitoring system for multiple stationary compressor installations).
