See igus P4 roller Energy Chain in action over long distances
igus has released a new movie that shows how its low-maintenance, modular P4 roller Energy Chain enables reliable energy supply systems to be implemented over distances of up to 800m.
Unlike conventional roller energy supply systems, in which the top and bottom rollers run over each other, the igus P4 roller Energy Chain upper rollers run through the offset lower rollers; this innovative design ensures that there are no bumps that would otherwise result in noise and vibration.
The combination of the comb-like Auto-Glide crossbars and the special trough system guides the igus P4 Energy Chain over long travels in applications where speeds can reach up to 10m/s and fill weights can be up to 30kg/m. Typical applications are found on cranes, plant equipment, materials handling systems and mining.
