In Hall 5, Stand D80, the company is displaying multiple active exhibits, including Wonderware online, Ecostruxure Machine Advisor and advance robotics. The live demonstrations show how smart technology can make the processing and packing industry more profitable, agile and productive. They will also demonstrate how process and packaging businesses can drive efficiency through:

  • Control - Integrated control and motion provides original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with machines that are reliable, consistent, and energy- and cost-efficient, providing them with the opportunity to explore new business models such as software-as-a-service (SaaS).
  • Connectivity - Digitisation requires products, machines and complete production lines to become connected. The stand will show how EcoStruxure, the architecture for connected products, edge control and software apps, helps businesses to future-proof production and packaging processes, while releasing the full potential of IIoT and industry 4.0.
  • Management - Managing machinery and production, either locally or remotely via the cloud, has become a vital aspect of industry. The Wonderware system platform and wider software environment have been developed to fully optimise enterprise performance.

Schneider professionals are on hand to explain how these products and systems can make manufacturing enterprises more productive, more energy-efficient and more agile.

Alexandre Flory, OEM Director at Schneider-Electric UK and Ireland, states: "Packaging demands and constraints have changed hugely in recent times. Customer experience and personalisation demands, combined with shortage of skills and people, are putting the industry under a lot of pressure. Digital transformation provides unprecedented opportunities for efficiency and productivity, and helps user overcome macro trends. Such changes can empower users, optimise assets, create agile operations and improve the flow of information to enable new business opportunities."
