SKF bearing housing kits save time and money
SKF is introducing a bearing housing kit to help its customers speed up and simplify the process of building a bearing system. Researching and ordering the component parts of a housing unit can be costly and time-consuming. An SKF Housing Kit gives customers everything they need to create a high-performing bearing system: an SKF Explorer spherical roller bearing, a plummer block housing and housing seals - as well as locating rings and an end cover.

The SKF Explorer spherical roller bearing boasts a high load-carrying capacity - both radially and axially. It is made from wear-resistant bearing material and has high running accuracy and low friction. It is supplied with an SE or SNL plummer block housing, depending on size, according to ISO 113. The robust housing has good head dissipation and is designed for simple mounting and dismounting. In addition, there is an efficient grease guiding system.
SKF's SE bearing housings, for example, have a stiff and robust design thanks to high machining quality and the use of high-strength material. User benefits include a long service life, reliable performance and easy mounting.
The kit also includes a full set of housing seals and an end cover, for when the housing needs to be placed at the end of the shaft. Kits are available with either four-lip or V-ring seals. For bearings with a tapered bore, the kit includes an adapter sleeve complete with a lock nut and lock washer.
