Software simplifies remote access to graphic recorders

Eurotherm is releasing a new visualisation package to provide an easy-to-configure and simple-to-use PC package for accessing Eurotherm Data Management 5000/6000 series graphic recorders.

Software simplifies remote access to graphic recorders

The new Eyris for Data Management software package connects to the recorders and provides a browser window for direct access to the recorder bridge sessions.

Simon Windust, product manager at Invensys, explains: "We designed Eyris to be simple to install and easy to configure to provide instant access to all connected devices. Eyris can then provide a plant overview while also allowing quick and easy access to individual instruments."

The overview enables users to identify trouble spots in a quick and dynamic manner so that, at a glance, they can see exactly what needs attending to within the network. Importantly, Eyris offers the power needed to react in a timely manner from any networked location anywhere in the world.

From the Eyris Builder facility, users create a working system by scanning a network to create an Eyris project. The scan auto-detects all Eurotherm 5000 and 6000 series paperless graphic recorders over a company network or WAN. A default configuration of viewable pages gives the easiest route to data, while a selection of custom pages - which can be easily configured - covers other user needs.
