Spoked handwheels for food, pharma and medical industries
The fixed and folding handle versions of Elesa's VRTP spoked handwheels are now available in solid section material certified in compliance with the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration). The cavity-free design, combined with all-metal components in food-grade 304 or 316 stainless steel, make these handles suitable for food processing, pharmaceutical and medical applications.
This new compliant material has high resilience (shatterproof) characteristics. In particular, the VRTP-P+I-SST features a fixed position rotating handle whereas the VRTP-P+IR-SST has a fold-away handle for added safety to avoid entanglement with clothing or obstruction of narrow gangways.
VRTP handwheels are available for valve operation, shaft positioning, machine setting and vehicle mounted controls in sizes from 80mm to 200mm diameter to suit shafts of 8mm to 16mm.
