Spring-activated safety brake is released pneumatically

Ringspann's DH 10 FPM brake calliper is spring-applied and released by pneumatics, meaning that it is suitable for safety-related applications. The pneumatic pistons are integral in the body, with a single pneumatic connection, so the the complete calliper is both compact and easy to install. Because the friction blocks are pivoted, full-face contact is ensured, even after wear has occurred.

Depending on the diameter of the disc used, the calliper is capable of delivering braking torques of 15Nm (for a 125mm disc) to 50Nm (for a 355mm disc). Ringspann can supply a full range of 12.mm thickness discs to suit the calliper.

A datasheet is available at www.ringspann.com/uk/products/p46/dh10fpm.pdf and DXF CAD files can be downloaded from www.ringspann.com/ftp/46/dh10fpm.zip.
