SPX-DuCoNite hose pump suits challenging chemical applications

The new SPX-DuCoNite hose pump from Watson-Marlow Bredel Pumps is specifically designed to be resistant to aggressive chemicals thanks to an advanced form of surface protection. It also features newly developed hose technology that provides extensive chemical resistance, thereby enabling the SPX-DuCoNite pump to handle corrosive chemicals reliably for long periods.

Four sizes of SPX-DuCoNite hose pump are available, with a capacity of up to 5000 l/hr and pressures of up to 16bar. The pumps are self-priming and can run dry indefinitely without damage.

The pump is able to handle a variety of harsh materials, including sodium hypochlorite, titanium dioxide, sodium hydroxide, catalytic agents, sulphuric acid, lime slurry, acidic liquids, solvents and resins. This means that the pump is particularly suitable for applications in the water, food and chemical industries.

Peristaltic hose pumps are virtually maintenance-free, with no seals, valves or rotors, but simply an easily-replaceable hose. As the fluid only comes into contact with the hose and not the pump itself, abrasive and corrosive materials can safely be pumped without damage to the pump.
