Stainless steel quick-release connector has anti-kink protection
On the basis of its time-proven quick-release connectors for compressed air technology, Eisele has designed a stainless steel version with a union nut and anti-kink protection for especially demanding cooling water applications; the solid metal connector is a high-quality addition to the line of premium connection components.
Quick-release connectors are time-proven and useful components in compressed air technology. At many manual workplaces in workshops or at production lines and assembly stations, quick-release connectors are used to access the compressed air network. They enable connection of pneumatic tools, portable machines or compressed air pistols with a flick of the wrist. Series 20 of the Eisele BASICLINE offers an entire range of different quick-release connectors made of brass. They feature a high flow rate in a compact design and can also be connected and disconnected under pressure with no loss.
Based on the same connecting principle Eisele has developed a stainless steel quick-release connector for cooling water applications with especially stringent standards for safety and purity. It features a union nut for a secure connection and anti-kink protection on both connector ends to prevent accidental kinking of the hose. This ensures a constant flow rate with no interruptions, which is especially important in certain welding systems, for example. The connectors are supplied with deionised or demineralised water, which places high requirements on the purity and stability of all components.
An additional seal on the connector not only facilitates connection and disconnection, but additionally offers good anti-twist protection. Two-sided shut-off provides for a safe and loss-free connection. Eisele manufactures the quick-release coupling with anti-kink protection for hoses with outer diameters of 6, 8 and 10mm.
The union nut is available in black anodised aluminium or nickel-plated brass. When tightened, this provides a solid and secure connection to prevent accidental disconnection. All other parts of the connector, especially all media-contacting parts, are made of stainless steel 1.4301, for high resistance to corrosion, a long life and easy cleaning of the connector. The seals used are made of FPM; for more stringent requirements with respect to temperature resistance, special Viton seals can also be used.
