Stemmer Imaging UK reports 17% increase in orders
Stemmer Imaging UK reports an order intake increase of nearly 17 per cent for the financial year ending 30 June 2010. This excellent performance, under difficult economic circumstances, made a significant contribution to the group figures announced on the same day. Stemmer Imaging, has its headquarters in Germany, claims to be the largest supplier of machine vision components in Europe, with overall sales of EUR35.7million, and has subsidiaries in France and Switzerland as well as the UK.
Sales and Marketing Director, Mark Williamson, comments: "The results in the UK were excellent, especially given the depth of the economic crisis and the uncertainty around the election of a new government. Not only did we see a major increase in orders, but our Dun & Bradstreet rating also improved with an A rating for financial strength. This improved financial position gives our customers even greater confidence to purchase from us, safe in the knowledge that we will be around to provide the outstanding engineering and technical support for which we have built an enviable reputation."
The financial strength of the company is further reflected in Germany, where the German operation is amongst the top two per cent financially secure companies. Williamson adds: "With no bank debts, we are in an envious position. Where many companies may still be finding it difficult to get funding, Stemmer Imaging has not needed to look for any external investment, thanks to excellent organic growth".
