TB Wood's introduces long-life G-Flex shaft couplings
TB Wood's, an Altra Industrial Motion Company, is launching the G-Flex Grid Couplings based on a state-of-the art Bibby Transmissions design.
G-Flex shaft couplings are claimed to increase protection against shaft misalignment and vibration. The G-Flex grid spring is shot-peened to create a protective surface layer that resists fatigue and stress corrosion, thereby increasing the strength and working life of the grid. The result is excellent reliability and maximum performance in demanding applications.
TB Wood's G-Flex Grid Couplings are interchangeable with industry-standard Grid Couplings. Two models are available from stock: the 1000T10 features a horizontal split cover, suitable for applications where space is restricted; and the 1000T20 features a vertically split cover for higher running speeds.
