Technical seminars for machinery builders and OEMs

Machinery builders and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are being urged to tap into two free seminars that will give them access to a host of technical expertise. PP Electrical Systems has joined forces with four specialist partners to create interactive workshops that will provide the latest insights into the fields of machinery protection, linear dry bearing technology and the Internet of Things.

The seminars, which are due to be held on 24th February and March 22nd, will also showcase iTRAK, a cutting-edge system that revolutionises the design and build of track-based systems for packaging and materials handling.

Tony Hague, Managing Director of PP Electrical Systems, comments: "There's nowhere in the world where machinery builders and OEMs can get this level of technical knowledge in one place and in an environment that encourages interaction and best practice sharing. The seminars start at 10am and usually last for five hours, which includes presentations from keynote speakers, demonstrations and the opportunity for in-depth Q&A.

"They have been designed to help our clients save money, improve productivity and come up with new processes that will help their own innovations."

PP Electrical has enlisted the support of the following technical partners:

Rockwell Automation - Overview of iTRAK and how it combines linear and rotary motion to deliver a flexible, fully-integrated offering.

SMC - A look at the connected machine: Industry 4.0, Connected Enterprise and The Internet of Things (IOT).

Igus - Introduction to linear dry bearing technology and an insight into design considerations for energy chain construction.

Beakbane - Using 60 years' experience in the field of machinery protection, the company will discuss capabilities and systems for flexible bellows, covers and machine enclosures.

In addition to hearing from the four technical partners, PP Electrical will also provide updates on the need for UL508a compliance, especially with an increasing number of machinery builders exporting to North America.

This will look at the design and production considerations that are critical for compliance, including relevant NPFA standards.
