The box of a thousand guard locking possibilities

Following market firsts in Profinet and EtherNet/IP connection, the new MBM bus module from industrial safety engineering specialist Euchner (UK) is now available in an EtherCAT version.

The new release means that every function of the MGB2 Modular multifunction gate box can be used with EtherCAT/FSoE, which Euchner says makes the MGB2 the world’s first guard locking device for EtherCAT and confirms the company as a pioneer in machinery safety.

The MBM coordinates all the safety, non-safety and diagnostic communication signals between the fieldbus system and MGB2 Modular system components with the MGB2 connection technology able to operate up to six locking modules on one MBM for communicating both safety and control signals.
