TP 3000 series touch panels connect to many fieldbuses
Phoenix Contact is launching the TP 3000 series touch panels. These second-generation devices can be used with a wide range of fieldbuses, including Profibus, MPI, CANopen or serial interfaces. In addition, there is a connection for additional Ethernet-based drivers. All models are factory-equipped with one Ethernet and two USB interfaces.
The powerful Xscale PXA320 platform with an 806MHz processor and 128MB SDRAM can be used with all display sizes, extending from 14.48cm (5.7inch) up to 30.73cm (12.1inch). Touch panels up to and including the 7inch screens have backlit LED displays; the backlighting can be dimmed or even turned off via the extended functional scope of the Visu+ visualisation software, from Version 2.2x. This saves energy and extends the lifetime of the LED. In addition, it is possible to directly control the buzzer, which is integrated in the panels. Events such as alarms are then signalled acoustically.
These new TP 3000 series touch panels are suitable for use in medium-sized machines requiring standard HMI functionality. They can be used in almost all sectors thanks to the high-quality aluminium housing, the front of which is sealed to IP65 against the ingress of dust and moisture.
