Trapezoidal screw drive components and assemblies
Misumi Europa says that it offers a comprehensive range of trapezoidal screw drive components, all of which are designed to work in harmony so there is no need for dimensioning or calculation of individual parts when specifying custom assemblies. As a result, Misumi screw drives are claimed to be quick and easy to design.
Trapezoidal screw drives are particularly suitable for positioning stops or for use in infeeds and workpiece feeders where the axial and radial loads are fairly high.
Misumi's latest product catalogue contains screws with thread diameters from 8 to 50mm, lengths of up to 1200mm and pitches of between 1.5 and 8mm. Diameters and lengths can be ordered in increments of 1mm. Left-handed or right-handed threads are available in a choice of materials (1.1191 or 1.4305). Housings with fixed or floating bearings are designed to suit the screw diameter and screw lifespan. The screw nuts are also available in PPS, polyacetal and brass, depending on the screw diameter. Customers can also choose from a range of different configurations, such as flange designs or anti-backlash. Misumi supplies suitable brackets made from steel (1.1191) or aluminium (EN-AW-5052) in a range of sizes and heights for use with screw nuts with flanges.
To ensure screw threads can be positioned quickly and easily and the correct distances maintained, Misumi offers a large selection of digital positioning indicators suitable for both front- and vertical-mounting. The digital display is easy to read and can be set to four or five digits with a reading accuracy of 0.1mm. The indicator is available in two sizes, two colours and comes with or without a counter reset function. Depending on the model, the display is visible from the front or from above.
