TRUMPF at Northern Manufacturing 2014

TRUMPF commits a high percentage of its turnover to research and development to introduce manufacturing systems that are market oriented and which give customers a competitive edge. This will be clearly evident to visitors at Northern Manufacturing 2014. The company will be focusing on its systems in several technology groups but demonstrating three in particular - automated punching and profiling, laser marking and portable fabrication.

A main feature on the TRUMPF stand will be the TruPunch 1000, an entry-level punching machine that requires only a small amount of floor space and is very easy to operate. Despite its small footprint it can process a complete medium-format sheet with one single clamping operation and without repositioning. So, not only is it suitable for first-time users, but it is also a good supplementary machine that allows low-volume orders and batch sizes to be quickly and flexibly processed.

A significant contributor to this flexibility is the wide choice of tools that can be fitted to the TruPunch 1000. These include TRUMPF MultiTools that can be rotated through 360 degrees. This capability minimises the number of tools needed and maximises productivity.

Representing the company's continually developing laser marking range, is its TruMark Station 5000. This is another machine that has been designed with space-saving in mind, and can be configured to suit the precise needs of the application. It can be equipped with linear axes in the x and y directions and rotary axes with different clamping ranges.

The TruMark Station 5000 is a plug and play machine that is also line-integration ready and can be equipped with several marking lasers. It comes with a choice of beam source, and at Northern Manufacturing it is combined with the TruMark 5020 marking laser. This laser is designed for very short, marking process cycles.

TRUMPF laser processing systems can be can tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of applications including welding, cutting, marking, metal deposition and micro-processing of various materials such as plastics, glass, metals, ceramics and leather. Technical applications staff will be on the TRUMPF stand to provide advice on specific requirements.

Completing the stand displays will be TRUMPF's TruTool portable fabrication equipment and also full details of its comprehensive TruServices programme. This comprises software, finance, technical service, spares/consumables, application consulting, pre-owned machines and both standard and Eurostyle tooling. Visitors will see that TRUMPF not only manufactures the most extensive vertical product range but also it is a single source for all production business needs.
