Turret lugs provide reliable wire-to-board connections

Harwin is launching a comprehensive range of turret lugs - also known as turret pins or terminals - for providing strong, reliable wire-to-board connections.

Turret lugs provide reliable wire-to-board connections

The turret lugs are attached to the PCB usually by riveting and soldering, then the wire is attached and soldered to the lug. This approach is often preferred for ease of assembly and because it provides a firm mechanical anchor for the wire to protect against mechanical strain and vibration, as well as providing a secure electrical connection - especially for larger diameter wires.

Turret lugs are used in many applications, including high-quality valve amplifiers, transformers, and military projects, as well as the repair and maintenance sector.

Full details of the turret lug range are included in Harwin's catalogue and website.
