USB memory stick is ruggedised for industrial environments
A USB stick is now available as an accessory to the Y-ConUSB series that meets the highest protection requirements in the industrial sector.
The memory stick, designated Y-ConUSB-Stick-1, meets the high-speed USB 2.0 standard. It has a total storage capacity of 512MB (up to 2GB on request) and, like the whole Y-Con series, meets the requirements of IP67/68/69K. This means it can also be used under extreme conditions, such as for storing measurement data on construction machinery, for data exchange on industrial facilities, or for updating programmes or recording error messages.
The main advantage is that the USB stick can collect data over longer periods of time too. When the stick is full, data can be transferred via the USB interface to another storage medium, leaving it ready for immediate reuse.
A flashing blue LED indicates when data is being transferred. The USB stick is compatible with the following operating systems: MS Windows 98SE, ME, XP and Macintosh OS X.
The recommended operating temperature range is from -25 to +80degC and the life expectancy caters for up to 1500 connector mating cycles.
The Y-ConUSB-Stick-1 comes in blue as standard, but black versions are also available.
Like all products from Yamaichi, this USB memory stick is RoHS-compatible.
