Utilising AI Vision for use in automation

How does quality inspection benefit from OCR (optical character recognition) and AI technology? IDS Imaging Development Systems will demonstrate the power of DENKnet at MachineBuilding.Live. It can recognise not only individual characters but also the context, and improves the reading of codes and labels.

Another highlight is the recently introduced IDS NXT malibu camera. It combines OnCamera AI plus compression plus live streaming in 4K - opening up new possibilities for automation.

For 3D vision enthusiasts, the company will present the latest Ensenso 3D technology for robot guidance. The Ensenso C, for example, not only provides point clouds, but is also the first Ensenso 3D camera to feature a colour sensor for 2D images. This supports subsequent processes such as AI-based image analysis.
