Vacon creates new subsidiary for operations in USA
Vacon is to establish a new subsidiary in the USA, to be called Vacon Inc, which will be responsible for all Vacon operations in the US region. This subsidiary will also integrate TB Wood's AC drives business into the Vacon Group.
Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President of Vacon, comments: "After the acquisition of the AC drives business of TB Wood's and establishing a subsidiary in the USA, Vacon is a truly global company. We will have sales on all continents, and R&D and production on three continents."
All Vacon operations in the US market will be organised through the new subsidiary, including sales, marketing, technical support and after-market service, R&D, application engineering, manufacturing and administration. Vacon Inc. will also be responsible for Vacon Group's current and future product ranges for the US market.
Dan Isaksson, MSc (El Eng) eMBA, Vice President of Corporate Development of Vacon Group, has been appointed President of Vacon Inc in the USA. Isaksson will be responsible for Vacon Inc and for integrating the AC drives business of TB Wood's into Vacon Group's operations. He will also be a member of the Extended Management Team of the Vacon Group.
