Valve-regulated lead-acid battery has higher discharge capacity

Yuasa Battery Sales (UK) is launching the SWL780V valve-regulated lead-acid battery as the addition to its SWL family of industrial VRLA batteries.

Valve-regulated lead-acid battery has higher discharge capacity

Designed for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and similar high discharge rate applications, the new SWL780V follows the same increased performance profile as the other batteries in the SWL range. This typically gives 40 per cent extra discharge capacity over and above a standard NPL type.

The 12V SWL780V features a nominal 10hr rate capacity of 27.1Ah to 10.8V at 20degC. Standby life expectancy is up to 10 years at 20degC.

While the SWL780V battery features a UL94HB ABS case as standard, a flame-retardant (FR) option is available for UL94V0 applications. The battery can be used in any orientation other than continuous use in the inverted position. The new model complies with IEC 61056 and IEC 60896-21/22. Case dimensions are 166mm (l) x 125mm (w) x 175mm (h) (+/-2mm) and the mass is 10.1kg.

Yuasa's new SWL780V batteries are available from a wide range of distributors in the UK. Follow the link for more information about SWL series valve-regulated lead-acid batteries.
